My boyfriend and I have been going up to Walker quite a bit lately. We are horrible at planning, and typically go at the spur of the moment, otherwise I would post here and invite others to go along. We are busy the next couple weekends, but perhaps we can plan a group outting sometime soon?

I have been out to WV three times since the 4th of July weekend, twice to ride and once for a work party. I am available to go riding the next few weekends until I ship my quad up to Alaska for the Fall hunting season. I might even be available for a weekday ride if anyone is interested.

Nice.... Are you a brown Bear kinda guy??
Theres a few of us in Idaho right now ( thru this weekend), but we might be up for a Walker ride in the next few weekends. I'll keep an eye on the website here.
  Wallace is  good time fun.

jeffpa and I have decided to go riding at WV this Sunday, the 25th. steve6366, (if you don’t have to work) and/or anyone else is more then welcome to join us. We haven’t really decided on a specific time but I will try to be up there in the 9 to 10 AM time frame.

I wish I could join you this weekend, but I've got plans.

FYI however, we were up there at 8:45ish last weekend, and the parking lot was already packed, and it was an absolute zoo. If the weather is as good as it's supposed to be, I would suspect the same this weekend. Saw a young girl on her quad go off the bridge that goes from the parking lot to the Jam Trail. Scary indeed, but she was alright.

Hope to see y'all soon!

Since Reiter has been closed, the group I usually ride with has been avoiding WV and Tahuya like the plague when the weather is good. Evans Creek is out, too - there's no room to get around the stuck trucks, and we had traffic jam issues even before Reiter closed.

We've been going to E. Wa where it's wide open and uncrowded - but when the thermometer reaches 90 degrees or above, we stop riding.

Call me a wimp, but it stops being fun for me in that kind of heat or when the place is crowded or overrun with squids.

We're thinking of doing some overnight runs in the Kittitas/Vantage area this summer, where we start riding at about 6 or 7pm, camp out at about midnight, and ride back in the AM before it gets too hot. The trails aren't crazy dangerous if you ride slow enough for your headlights to pick it out for you. It's quite an experience.

Word of advice: If your radiator is full of baked mud, don't soak your ATV in the river trying to dislodge the mud. Just stop every few miles to cool down, and have your buddy tow you up the steep hills.

If the parking lot is full at Walker, just keep going up the main road until you find a spot you can pull off and park. Eventually you will find a place, there is plenty of pull outs.

Yea, when we went to CLe Elum, it was almost vacant, and that was 4th of July.

Back when I Jeeped, Liberty would have been packed.

Anyways, I just got home, so I wont be able to make tomorrow.

I can do next weekend, but I'm just exhausted.
