In using NQA Forum, you agree to be bound by the following rules and conditions. You further agree that all information you provide in your registration is accurate. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not register or participate in NQA Forum. NQA Forum is an English language forum. Although readers from other countries are welcome to use it.
Principles of NQA Forum
Northwest Quad Association has always been an invitational forum and never an ideological pulpit; the same holds true for our presence online. Above all, we ask simply that you voice your opinions in a tasteful manner, respecting the many others from around the world who form this online community.
You might want to spend some time following discussions ("lurking") before you participate. Discussions are more rewarding when users post messages relating to the discussion topic and avoid repetitive or excessively lengthy posts. Posts to NQA Forum are publicly visible to all visitors. You can always contact us by e-mail at info@northwestquad.org.
NQA Forum permits users to post hypertext links to content hosted and maintained by third parties. Although linked sites are not generally reviewed by moderators, links are subject to treatment like any other type of content posted to the Forum. You may not include a link in the Forum that directs users to any content or information that, if posted in the Forum, would constitute a violation of these Forum Rules and Conditions.
The linked sites are not moderated by NW Quad Assn, are not under NW Quad Assn. control and your access to any linked site is at your own risk. You should use your own judgment before you use any link or access any linked site. When leaving the Forumusing any link provided by a user, you should be aware that NW Quad Assn’s terms and policies no longer govern, and, therefore, you should review the applicable terms and policies, including privacy and data gathering practices, of that site.
NW Quad Assn makes no claim or representation regarding, and accepts no responsibility for, the quality, content, nature or reliability of sites accessible by hyperlink from the Forum. The ability to include links is provided only as a convenience to you, and the inclusion of any link by a user of the Forum does not imply affiliation, endorsement, or adoption by NW Quad Assn of the linked site or any information contained therein.
Users are Legally Responsible and Liable for Posts
You agree that you are fully responsible and legally liable for the content that you post or made through the use of your name and password. If your password is lost, you may generate a new password by clicking the "Lost Password" button in the forum. If it is stolen, contact NW Quad Assn by e-mail.
The Right to Move, Edit, or Delete Posts
NW Quad Assn believes in free expression and active and open debate; we do, however, expect users of NQA Forum to follow rules that protect other users and persons from the invasion of their rights and privacy. NW Quad Assn does not pre-screen, verify or edit the content posted by users in NQA Forum. NW Quad Assn has no obligation to monitor NQA Forum, or any submissions or other materials that you or other third parties transmit or post on NQA Forum. NW Quad Assn does, however, have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor NQA Forum and the materials you transmit or post. Should you violate or allow another person to use your account to violate any of the following rules, in NW Quad Assn’s (Terms of Service, and Legal Disclaimer), NQA Forum reserves the right to move, edit, or delete your post or discussion thread:
·Posts that are defamatory, libelous, unnecessarily antagonistic, or an invasion of privacy or violation of the rights of another user, person, or party;
·Posts that are obscene, abusive, harassing, threatening, off-topic, unintelligible, or inappropriate, as determined by the moderators of NQA Forum;
·Posts that are in violation of copyright, trademark, or intellectual property laws, as determined by the moderators of NQA Forum. Simply because material is available on the Internet does not mean it is in the public domain; most materials are protected by law;
·Posts in violation of local, state, United States or international law;
·Posts promoting, soliciting for, advertising for, referring to, or hyperlinking to commercial products, programs, or services; including contests, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or commercial enterprises. NQA Forum is designed for discussion and debate and communication;
·Posts which are submitted repetitively, without any bearing on the discussion topic, or otherwise deliberately disrupting the forums ("spamming");
·Posts which attempt to impersonate or fraudulently represent another user, person, or party;
·Provides any non-public information about NW Quad Assn or any other company or person without the proper authorization to do so. This includes providing the names and extension numbers of NW Quad Assn Officers and or NQA Forum participants;
·Posts which are in a language other than English;
·Posts which include viruses, "Trojan Horses," or any other contaminating or destructive feature that may damage another person's computer;
·Posts which attack or insult another NQA Forum user or moderator;
·Posts which suggest or encourages illegal activity;
·Posts which are determined, solely in the discretion of NW Quad Assn to be otherwise objectionable
NQA Forum is a privately-held, privately-maintained forum. NW Quad Assn has the right, but not the obligation, to remove any material from the forum which we, at our sole discretion, feel is not appropriate.
NW Quad Assn also may release information concerning your use of the Forum (including posted content, registration information, and network records) when NW Quad Assn believes release is appropriate to comply with the law (e.g., a lawful subpoena, warrant or court order); to enforce or apply NW Quad Assn’s Terms of Use and these Forum Rules and Conditions; to protect NW Quad Assn’s rights or property, or to protect NW Quad Assn’s users from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of the Forum; or if NW Quad Assn reasonably believes that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of records without delay.
Additional Guidelines
These Forum Rules and Conditions are intended to set the Forum's tone and visitor expectations, in order to improve the Forum experience.
Do not reveal information that you do not want to make public. Any personal information that you post can be obtained and used by others. Anything you post in the Forum, you post at your own risk.
You use the Forum at your own risk. In any online forum like NQA Forum, it is not possible to be sure that other users are who they say they are, know what they say they know, or are affiliated with whom they say they are affiliated.
Please refrain from posting where you do not know the answer. Incorrect, misleading or incomplete responses do not help other users. Please feel free to respond to any post where you know the answer. Forum users have come to trust that they will get good answers. Please help build and maintain that trust.
Be respectful of other users. Some Forum users are new to computing and may not have extensive knowledge of computers and their use. Belittling or insulting remarks are not conducive to the creation of a strong online community.
The Right to Remove Users
Every message in NQA Forum is automatically labeled with your user name ("handle"). NW Quad Assn reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove the posting privileges and/or eject a user permanently from the discussion forum for:
·Violating the posting rules set forth in the previous section;
·Impersonating or fraudulently representing another user, person, or party;
·Theft or fraudulent use of another user's account or password;
·Using an invalid or outdated e-mail address in one's forum preferences;
·Using words or phrases as part of one's handle that are determined by NQA ONLINE staff to be obscene, threatening, or otherwise offensive;
·Registering more than one handle at a time;
·Violating any portion of the terms of service set forth herein
Right Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
NW Quad Assn and NQA ONLINE do not control, and are not responsible for this third-party content. You agree to indemnify and hold NW Quad Assn and NQA ONLINE, affiliates, officers, agents, harmless from any claim, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of content you submit, post, transmit or make available through NQA Forum, your use of NQA Forum, your violation of these Forum Rules and Conditions or the Terms of Use, or your violation of any rights of another.
This agreement is governed in accordance with the laws of the United States, and its validity, construction and effect will be governed by and enforced pursuant to the substantive laws. The parties agree that all legal proceedings in connection with the enforcement, construction, interpretation, breach or violation of this agreement will be submitted to the state or federal courts in Washington, DC, United States of America and that jurisdiction and venue are proper in such courts.
